Why Share Effective Practices?

Too often, community health clinics work in isolation, struggling with common problems but few resources to find and adopt known solutions.  Smart Clinics seeks to identify simple, replicable approaches to improving health care access, quality and operations.  We produce downloadable tools for anyone to use to try these practices at their own sites, and facilitate ongoing learning through our website. We welcome feedback and ideas for new topics and solutions.

Smart Clinics is an initiative that promotes more effective practices at community clinics nationwide.  We do this by profiling successful programs and services at selected clinic sites, and providing tools and training materials so that other clinics can adapt and emulate these programs at their own sites.

Our first three toolkits are featured above -- you can click on the images to see 10-12 minute training videos on each topic, suitable for group training or individual learning.  Each toolkit also contains a guide for clinic management, with instructions for implementing these practices in your own site.  Toolkits also contain supporting materials to help you implement, manage and measure these programs in your own clinic.
